NAB’s IT problems continue

National Australia Bank suffered an embarrassing internet blackout yesterday, further denting customers’ confidence in the bank.

Yesterday’s technical glitches follow a much larger glitch in November, which caused delays in the processing of some customer payments and transactions, plus delays for EFTPOS, ATM and other electronic banking facilities.

In a statement late yesterday the bank offered no reason as to the cause of the glitch, which left telephone and internet banking services down for quite lengthy periods.
